About 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser
For 2008, an all-new engine and transmission delivers more power, efficiency and smoothness than the previous model. Toyota's Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, a pair of hydraulic control cylinders that vary roll stiffness depending on suspension attitude, enhances the Land Cruiser's ride and off-road capability.
The 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser also receives a new electro-mechanical system, CRAWL Control, which improves its off-road capabilities by managing the speed of the vehicle automatically, providing more control. A new frame and suspension further help enhance Land Cruiser's safety, agility and on the road ride and handling.
An all-new 5.7-liter V-8 engine supplies power. The engine uses electronic fuel injection, Toyota Direct Ignition, four valves per cylinder and a variable-length intake tract to produce 381 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 401 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,600 rpm. The Land Cruiser uses regular 87-octane gasoline and has ULEV-II emissions status.
